Oral Chlamydia Diagnosis

by scts, Jun 24, 2009 06:59PM
I just got diagnosed with oral Chlamydia from a oral swab test at a public health clinic.  However, from reading this forum, I'm under the impression that this is EXTREMELY rare.  My question is: what is the chance that the test gave a false positive? (of course, I'm still going to get treated just to be safe)

Oral Chlamydia is actually quite common from what I know of it.  You should just take your antibiotics and clear it up.

It is rare, but it can happen. You could have also had a false positive, and if you've already taken the meds you won't know.

If you haven't taken the meds you can also get retested, I would also have them do a swab for gono.
