I'm 14 years of age and I had my first sexual encounter 3 days ago. I went down on this girl and 3 days later I'm having signs of oral chlamydia; sore throat, nausea, body pains stuff like that. I don't think I'm sick because I can breath just fine opposed to being congested. I plan to wait this out to see if its anything serious but I need to know if this is smart or not. Should I tell my parents? Or wait a few days and see if I feel better? Is this normal?
hi and welcome. Many doctors consider contracting Chlamydia following oral sex extremely rare. There are mouth enzimes that can kill bacterias. I would wait as sounds like your coming down with a common cold. But you know what, its always good to confide in your parents about these things or even your school counselour. Nothing to be ashamed of and its good your aware that you could get something from unprotected sex.
