Orally Transmitted Chlamydia?

Orally Transmitted Chlamydia?

Had oral sex/sex for the first time with a new partner about a month ago. Saw same guy again 5 days ago. Yesterday I noticed some swelling inside my mouth. Along the roof of my mouth, insides of cheeks. It is red, raised with tiny little bumps. Not huge blisters or canker sores. It does not hurt but is just strange to the touch. IS it possibly an oral transmission of chlamydia or herpes? My mouth does not look like any of the pictures of herpes I have seen online. I do not have any of the vaginal chlamydia syptoms (symptoms)(although I used protection during sex and not oral)

I saw a doc today and he swabbed(my mouth) and tested it. The test came back negative for chlamydia but he said it doesn't necessarily rule it out. He is having me take blood tests for herpes I & II & Clamydia (chlamydia), he also said at first that it's possible that my immune system is down. I'm worried as the doc has given my prescriptions for both Azithromycin and Acyclovir and told me to take both. I took the Azithromycin but don't want to take all these meds since I don't even know if it is either yet. I'm in Asia and don't necessarily trust all the doctors here anyways. Blood test doesnt come back till Monday.

Can you offer me anything in terms of what an oral transmission of Clamydia (chlamydia) would look like? Is Herpes I or II always look like cankers/cold sores/ or open sores?  Can you think of anything else it might be? Seeing the guy again and don't know if I should bring up the subject without any conclusive answer but it is really bothering me! Thanks for your help.

Well, I hope to offer a little more advice than Kyak did.

Oral chlamydia isn't that common, and wouldn't present with sores like that.  Nor would oral gonorrhea, which is more common.

It could be herpes, but that would probably have some pain along with the bumps.

Since you are in Asia (which I am guessing isn't your home), you could have an allergy/reaction to something - a new toothpaste, mouthwash, food, etc.  It could be something in the water, even.

You can get a blood test for herpes, but if its a new infection, it wouldn't show up on a test yet.  The blood test would help determine if you have herpes already, but won't help much to figure out what this is currently.

Hope this helps,
AJ
