Please Put My Mind at Ease

I'm really hurt and confused behind this chlamydia thing. Just like the common cold, it must first develop before it can be spread. I want to know how chlamydia is formed or developed. does it start in the male or female? I say this because I honestly don't think my partner cheated and that's not being naive, but merely looking at our relationship and our circumstances. He was clueless when I told him that he gave me chlamydia! He too wants to know how it's developed. He told me that he's not circumsized. Could that possibly be a way seeing as how bacteria can be withheld in that penal area? Please somebody help me to get some peace about this thing.

Chlamydia is transmitted sexually. That's it. It is not developed or anything like that. Either a person gets it from unprotected sexual intercourse or they don't have it.

False positives are possible and it is not unheard of to have Chlamydia for 1-2 years with no symptoms.
