from my vagina and it hurt/burned whenever I peed. This lasted about 3-5 days. What could this be? I'm pretty sure if I caught something, it's from the "new" partner. But I've given him oral sex before and hadn't gotten sick or anything. He hasn't experienced any symptoms with his penis....and neither has my husband. I went to a gynecologist today and I was told I had a slight hint of blood in my urine and that my cervix looked a little irritated. But it's still a few days before I get the test results and am freaking out. Both the times I had sex (with new partner and husband), I was very dry. Could this have irritated it? I need peace of mind. Help!!
It's good that you went to the gynecologist - your test results should show what is going on. Were you tested for STDs? It's possible that your new partner has an STD, but is asymptomatic. If you find out that you do have an STD, it's important that your husband gets tested and treated if necessary. It's really hard to say what is going on without the results - could be a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, or an STD. Also, just because you had oral sex before with your new partner and did not get sick does not mean much. Oral sex is low risk for STD and it's possible to be sexually active with somebody who has an STD and not be infected for awhile. Hope this helps.
