Possible Reoccuring Chlamydia

Hello, I'm a 23 year old male who was infected with Chlamydia around April of 2010. So far I was treated twice around June and then two months later when it cropped back up again. The first time I was given an Azithromycin treatment on the first day followed by a week of Cipro.

Later on the symptoms came back and I was treated with 2 weeks of Doxycyclin.

The symptoms were burning on urination, slight discharge, need for frequent urination, difficulty urinating.

After treatment I was tested again for everything, and everything came back negative, my girlfriend as well.

Now as of January it seems as though the symptoms are coming back, I've had some difficulty urinating, and a slight burn, as well as a semen like discharge at the beginning of urination or a while after. It appears clear as far as I can tell.
My main concerns are: Could this somehow be a reoccuring again, why would it come back? Are there any other causes that describe these symptoms. What should I do from here? Could it be the anti-biotic treatment was simply not a long enough course?

If you tested negative after treatment (and with all of that medication I can't see how it was not treated properly), you either have a different infection or someone went outside of the relationship and got chlamydia.

I would see your Dr to discuss symptoms and if he wants to medicate you again, fine but I would also ask for some tests.
