I got tested for std's and my chlamydia test came back positive. Both me and my partner got treated, except i took the pills one day before he did. We had sex the first day he took it and the second day for me. We used a condom at first then it broke. Is the medicine still going to work or will we have to get treated again?

You are not supposed to have sex for 7 days after medication. While the medication still should work, you need to wait 2-3 weeks after medication and retest, both of you.

okay so if i abstain from sex for the rest of the month it should work right? But still get checked as well correct?

Correct. I would not abstain for 1 month just 1 week after medication is finished for both of you.

Well the medication was a one time dose of Azithromycin equalling 1000mg. I took mine friday mornign and he took his saturday mornig and we had sex saturday night. thats why im confused if it should still work.
