Sex after eating azithromycin

So I was diagnosed with Chlamydia.. Me and my girlfriend took 1000mg of azithromycin ... after about 3-4 days me and my girlfriend partied a lot for 2 days... we had alcohol, marijuana and ectasy... also we had unprotected sex 2-3 timess... I just wanna ask... did the 1000 mg of azithromycin went to waste ? What are my risks ? If we are infected and take azithromycin, can we get reinfected again.. how is that possible because we already have antibiotics in our system ... I just wanna know the technicality of how the medicine works .... ofcource we will get tested again soon but I just wanna know.. thanks

You should be fine. I am concerned about your alcohol, maijuana, and ectasy use. You might think about drug and alcohol treatment.
