Still have Clamydia(chlamydia)

by mack23, Dec 02, 2008 04:27PM
I am having problems trying to get rid of Clamydia (chlamydia).  I had unprotected oral sex with a stranger and 7 days later it showed itself.
I went to the doctor explaining I had a clear to white discharge from my penis.  He prescribed 2 doxy for 10 days.  The symptoms seemed to go away but still had a little white discharge in the morning if I squeezed the penis.  After the treatment of doxy a couple days later it returned to the same amount of discharge as it was before.  I went back to the doctor and he gave me 6 pills to take all at the same time (don't remember the name).  I did and this time the symptoms all but disappeared in a couple days, but on the 4th day the symptoms started coming back.  Now I was shot in the butt with some kind of  yellowish looking liquid, and given levaquin for 7 days.
I am currently on my 3rd day of levaquin and this morning I squeezed my penis and still noticed a whites dot the size of a ball point pen.

I haven't had any burning uriniation but I do frequently go to the bathroom more often now.  Is the levaquin not doing its job?  What are my options, I feel like the doctor is having a hard time trying to figure out how to combat what I have.

Well, first, don't squeeze the penis.  If you squeezed your eye, you'd get discharge there, too.

I'd also wonder if you actually had a positive chlamydia test.  Chlamydia is very rarely, if ever, spread via oral sex, and if you've had no testing, you don't really know what you have.

You've been on a lot of different medications, and at some point, your doctor needs to just stop throwing meds at you and actually test you.  The unfortunate part is that since you have taken the meds, you can't test for 2 weeks following the last pill you took, since that can alter the test results.

At this point, you've taken enough meds to cure chlamydia a few times over, and I'm thinking the shot was to treat gonorrhea.  I'd wonder also if he's done a prostate exam.
