Symptoms after Treatment

I found out that I had Chlamydia and I got a 2 tablet 500mg dosage of Azithromycin 2 days ago. Since then the symptoms of discharge and pain seem to have gotten worse. I know it's not that far into the treatment. I figure the increase in symptoms might mean the medicine is working. I would just like some clarification so that I don't freak out. I would also like to know if the medicine I was given will treat the infection if it was oral and anal since I have had unprotected sex in both areas. Also I would like to know if it is safe to apply Vaseline to the area because it eases the pain but I don't want to worsen the infection. Thank you for any comments.

Vaseline is safe.
Symptoms can get worse to start but you should notice a decrease in a couple of days. If not then follow up with your Dr.

As for the medication, we can't really tell you any advice about it. We are not Dr's and do not want to give out the wrong info.
