Treatment for chlamydia/NGU

by CJ412, Mar 19, 2009 01:26PM
Doc,

I got diagnosed with chlamydia and NGU. I got flagyl, azitromycine, and Amoxicilline.... can i be sure after treatment with these antibiotics that every possible bacteria that caused the above is killed?

Thanks

I'm thinking you didn't have NGU, but that the chlamydia caused white blood cells in your urine, which is what NGU really is.

In any case, you went way overboard with the meds.  You really only need azithromycin.

Did your doctor prescribe these, or did you get them yourself?

My doc prescribed these medicin cause after the initial treatment with azitromycine i still had complaints. I started to got an annoying pain and a white discharge in the morning. That's why the std clinic thougt, mayb he has trichomonas or the chlamydia bacterie is not killed cause it's resistent for the azitromycine so let's give him amoxixilline. they said normally they give it to women who are pregnant and are suffering from chlamydia. Anyways, i took them.... Now, 2.5 weeks later, i still have this upcoming pain every now and than at the top of my penis together with the white discharge every morning. I did a recheck on chlamydia and gonorroe last week, both we're negative.... At the std clinic they suspect i have NSU, non specific urethritis? Does that sounds logic to you? The pain i have is not constantly, it usually starts around afternoon, it painless...

Yes, it makes sense.  I'd wonder if you've had a prostate exam done, or a urine culture done.

A little discharge in the morning by itself isn't out of the ordinary, but with the tingling and pain, you need to follow up with your doctor.
