Very confused....

I had a baby 18 months ago and went for my pap test this week... They tested for Chlamydia as routine I guess and that Chlamydia came up positive and the Pap is normal. My question is, How can I show up with Chlamydia when I have been with the same person for 3 years besides the obvious reasons? He swears up and down and has already paid for a lie detector test to prove to me he hasn't done anything. Shouldn't they have done a Chlamydia test while I was pregnant or no? I had a cesarean, so could I have had it while pregnant? My doctor gave me a 1 dose of 4 pills of Zith for both my husband and me... is that enough or should I be concerned healthwise if he passes this lie detector test? Thank you so much......

Yes, they would have tested you for chlamydia while pregnant.  He should have been tested.  But now, there is no point since you have both been treated.  It is possible you had a false positive.  False results do occur for various reasons.

There is no real way to determine if there has been a false result.  The only thing you can do is go and get retested BEFORE treatment and your partner test as well.
