I began dating my now husband in Jan 2010. He slept around a lot before that. Anyways I got pregnant Jan 11' and went to the Dr Feb 14th for my first checkup. I got my tests back and everything came back negative except that I had possible BV. I had to go back again and get rechecked. They told me it usually resolves itself. When I went back they said everything was back to normal. I delivered my daughter Oct 2 11' and a week later my daughter had an eye infection. Took her to the Dr and found out it was a Chlamydia bacteria. So I follow up with my Dr and find out I now had Chlamydia, which then my husband obviously tested positive also. He swears up and down hes not slept with anyone else while we have been together but is it even possible to be negative in Feb then test positive in Oct if he wasn't unfaithful??? Please help as this is destroying my marriage.
Can't give you an absolute answer here. You could have had a false negative and they could have thought that BV was the cause. But if they tested you for chlamydia 2 or more times then it is unlikely that you would have 2 false negatives (even 1 is very uncommon but possible to be confused with something else).
