Would like to know the truth

Hello, I am new to this forum.  I am reaching out to you here on this forum for some answers.  Just recently i began to have sores on my penis around the head.  I all so developed inflammation of my lymph nodes in that region.  I went to my doctor and to make a long story short I now have Chancroid.  I have not had unprotected sex with anyone other then my wife.  After a bit of probing I confronted my wife with the facts and she later told me that she had Lesbian encounter with a Bi Sexual woman that is married to my friend.   The question I have is is this possible to transfer Chancroid from woman to woman.  Say this other woman had this and gave it to my wife then in turn gave it to me?  If so how long are we talking can my wife be a host of this STD.  I am just trying to find out the truth here my marriage depends on it.  Please help!

Yes it is possible. After all it is a STD. Chancroid, though rare, is very easily treated.
