Z pack dosage in question

Hello,
     To make my long story short...I had a UTI and I was treated for the UTI.  My symptoms never went away. Huge part of me thinks its something more sinister. Chlamydia.  Went to another doctor who prescribed the Z pack (Azithromycin).  My dosage however is 2 pills = 500 mg and then 1 pill a day there after at 250mg for 4 days.  Everything I am reading on here keeps referring to a one time single dosage that equals 1000mg or 1 gram.    So, I called my doctor and he says...this is the right dosage he prescribed to me.  But even on the CDC's website I see the treatment as Azithromycin 1 gram.  
Well, I am feeling hysterical because I feel like my dosage is so low and I wont be cured.  Can anyone tell me if my dosage is any less better?? Or if it will work just as well???
Did he give me the wrong dosage??

You don't have a confirmed diagnosis of chlamydia so I can't say what is what. You should have been tested and not just given medication. A test would be able to tell us what you had if you had chlamydia.
