can chlamydia be non transmittable

my husband and i had been together for over a year when he tested positive for chlamydia.  i went and got tested too and my results were negative.  he swears to this day that he never did anything with anyone else and says he must have had it since before we were together. he has changed his storys and theorys and has even tryed to blame me for it but is it even possible that it could lay dorment and not be transmittable to me for over a year?  i know its very common to go without having symptoms but thought that you can still infect others and well we had a very strong sexual relationship. also i was pregnant the same time he found out he had chlamydia and ended up miscarrying two months into the pregnancy could that have had something to do with it also?  please i really need some good advice, it is really something that keeps nagging at me

Chlamydia does not have a dormant phase. I have mentioned this in multiple posts if you had taken the time to read them. Chlamydia can be asymptomatic which can explain your current circumstance. Unfortunately Chlamydia has been shown to cause early first trimester miscarriage. I am sorry you are going through this. Remember that Chlamydia is completely curable with antibiotics. Be sure to see your doctor for treatment. Your partner needs to be treated also.
