chlamdia dosage

by erik909, Apr 01, 2009 03:47PM
I tested postive for chlamydia in mexico they prescribe me a azithromycin by pfizer but in a 900mg (200mg/5ml) It seems like this would be more likely for a child. I have been reading and  the effective dosage is 1g. so my question is will this be effective enough to cure me and is it the wrong dosage or did they give me the wrong precription?

I'm confused.  How did you get 900 mgs from 200 mg pills?

It will probably work, but test again in a month to make sure its gone.  Take all the pills at one time.

Its an oral suspension I got it from mexico. I think it's used to treat kids in smaller doses

Ohh right.  Sorry - I never think of the oral suspension.

I think 900 mg will probably be ok.  Test again in a month to make sure its gone.
