chlamydia → fitz-hugh curtis syndrom(syndrome)

hello,

i started experiencing dull, throbbing pain in the uterus/ ovarian area which started out feeling like menstrual cramps but got worse and worse and aspirin didn't help. i had a high fever and nausea.

i had a pap smear and ultrasound check. a week (and a lot of suffering) later, i was diagnosed with chlamydia.
i was prescribed a single dose of zithromac and i took it as directed.

during the week i waited for the results the symptoms changed dramatically.
dull pain was replaced by sharp stabbing pain localized on the upper right side just below the rib cage. it started out like a stitch or a cramp in my side and then one day i woke up and there was very sharp pain in the ovarian area (right side) and it was extremely painful to breathe or move. a friend who is a doctor thought it might be appendicitis and referred me to a hospital where i had another ultrasound, xray, and urine test. they ruled out appendicitis but couldn't figure out what the cause was.

when i found out i had chlamydia i did research on my mysterious symptoms and chlamydia and a many references to a semi-rare complication of the infection called fitz-hugh-curtis syndrome matched my description exactly. string like infection attaching from the liver and/or appendix to the abdominal wall. hard to diagnose without a ct scan.

i took the zithromax september 1st and within a few days all symptoms disappeared.

i haven't had sexual contact since april (my last boyfriend)

now, a month and a half later i am feeling the beginning of vague cramping in the same area.

what should i do ?

when should i re-test ?

if possible i want to avoid the speculum...
i heard there is a urine test for chlamydia ?

if anyone has had similar experiences any advice would be greatly appreciated.

never had dat std but also heard u can test for chamydia from urine *GD luck

Yes chlamydia is a test from a swab or urine
