chlamydia

i had sex with a stranger and the condom came off. five days later i went to the doctor with slightly swollen testicles and a slight discharge. he gave me doxycycline for one week. one week later the symptoms were worse, in particular my testicles became more swollen and i had a funny feeling in the bladder/prostrate area. The doctor said i tested positive for chlamydia, and gave me 1g of azithromycin, another week of doxycycline, and an injection in the backside (i think it was Ceftriaxone). that was four days ago. the discharge seems to be gone but my testicles haven't improved, and i have to urinate all the time, maybe 15 times yesterday...any ideas???

Sorry to hear about your infection.  

Urinating 15 is a bit on the high end of normal to urinate.  It depends on how much water you are drinking.   An althelet who exercises and drinks plenty of water usally will urinate about 10 to 12 times a day (this is healthy we should all aim for this).    A sedantary person will urinate about 8 times a day.


You should test for gonorrhea, and other STDs.
See your physican about the swelling testicles.

hi jessy thanks for that. yea i drank alot that day cause i was exercizing, so that probably explains that. went back to the doc today, and confirmed that i was neg for gonorrhea, and that they didnt actually test me for chlamydia. he said he thought it might be  chlamydia or else some other bacteria thats not an std at all. got another shot of Ceftriaxone in the backside and another week of doxycycline... no improvement in the swollen testicles in two weeks but this guy is just mad for more of the same antibiotics...  ill see how it goes anyway...
