chlamydia infection won't seem to go away. help!

hi everyone. i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what can help me. i was diagnosed with chlamydia about 2 months ago. i went to the doctor right away when i noticed that my discharge was not normal. she ran some test for gonorreah and chlamydia, and she called me about a week later and told me that i tested positive for chlamydia. she called in a treatment of azithromyicin (a dose of four pills), instructed me to take them all at once, and told me to come back in about 2 weeks for a follow up test. i did so, she ran another test, and it came back positive again. so she gave me another dose of the same treatment, and i took it the next day as soon as i picked it up from the pharmacy. she told me that we could've possibly did the test too soon after the first treatment (or that i could have been reinfected which i don't think is possible because i did not have sex with my boyfriend, who's the one who gave it to me, after i found out i had it.) so to take this treatment and come back for another test in 4 weeks. well, it has been almost 4 weeks now, and i still notice that i have a green discharge. i did have sex with my boyfriend this time, but we used a condom, and he was treated a week prior to our intercourse. i'm  really starting to worry about my condition because one day i would like to have children. so if anyone can shed some light on the situation at all i would geatly appreciate it.

You need to go back to your doc - its possible that the chlamydia caused bacterial vaginosis.

I am having the same freaking issue.
I took a dose of antibiotics for chlamydia, the symptoms cleared up, but now they are back. My boyfriend and I had sex with a condom while he was halfway done with his treatment [i was done with mine] and the damn thing BROKE, and even though we pulled out right away I'm assuming that re-gave it to me or the antibiotics didn't work in the first place. I was symptom free for the first time in MONTHS for 3 days, and now the green discharge is back. SO FRUSTRATING. I want to be rid of this so bad. :(

Its REALLY important that you abstain totally for 7 days past treatment if you get azithromycin, or until the doxycycline is gone.

You are probably re-infected, and your bf needs to be treated again too, whether or not he has symptoms.

Yours is a case in point of why we say abstain and not just use condoms.

Hope you feel better,

You need to do this NOW, or tomorrow if your doc's office is already closed.

And no worries - this happens all the time.
