chlamydia.. is this an accurate waiting time?

I havent had sex for about eight months. i Just tested negitive for chlamydia and i was wondering how accurate this was since it was so long ago that i had sex? can chlamydia cure itself without treatment this quickly?

It might be able to, but then if you are cured, you don't have anything to worry about.

If it hadn't been cured - which is unlikely - it would show on the test.

this was  my first time ever testing for an sti! so i was just wondering if i could have HAD it and since i waiting eight months to get tested, it may not have showed up on a test?

If you had an active infection, it would have shown on the test.

but say if i had Pelvic Inflammartory Disease from chlamydia then would it still should up on the test positive for chlamydia?
