chlamydia

I went to my doctors in june to get my annual check up...the doctor called and told me that my results were positive for chlamydia. I did the one dose of 1000mg of azithromycin and about a month later went back for another exam to see if it had cleared up......unfortunitely it didn't go away. However, I didn't have sex, or anything. So i was again prescribed to 1000mg of azithromycin.....recently i have notice that I feel like i have an eye infection, they look irritated and feel grose. And i have had bad cramps/pains in my abdominals. I once again went to a 3rd check up to see if it went away this time and I'm waiting for the results. But my question is what if it didn't go away this time? My doctor screened me for HIV and all other STDs.....is there another pill i can take? is my eye infection from the chlamydia?

Your eye has nothing to do with chlamydia. If it does not go away this time then they will either up the dose or change medication.

really ive read online that you can get an eye infection with chlamydia....is that wrong?

I have read online that eye infections are also in connection with chlamydia.. being you have it obviously.

If it's giving off a discharge as well and is very very red, this might be a great sign of a connection to your chlamydia.

Can't be certain unless you are tested for that as well though.

When i get the test results back from my doctor (hopefully soon) and if i DO have chlamydia still- do you know if the eye infection will go away with whatever antibiotic they give me next?

Again the eye infection is not chlamydia of the eye. They are not connected.

I hope your right i've been reading about how chlamydia can cause blindness.......
