chlamydia

my girlfriend has just been tested positive for chlamydia, but neither of us has had a different partner in the last 2-3 years, however she says she has been tested in the last 18 months which showed negative, we have a 2 and a half year old son and my girlfiend says she was tested just after the birth. is it possible i have been carrying it and only just passed it on? or might she not of been tested for chlamyia in the tests she had. im just trying to find where it has comer from??? please advise

She might have a false positive test.  If neither of you have been with anyone else, it would have to be.

Has she taken meds yet?  If she hasn't, she could ask for a retest.  If she has, its too late.  Have you tested yet?  You might get some idea if hers is a false positive if yours is negative.

If she decides to treat, you need to as well, just to be sure.

yes she has been treated today, i am going for a test on thurs, im hoping it will be neg then i know it was a false test, if im positive then i dont know??? thanks dek
