clamydia? cause for joint and bladder pain

by lucy123456, May 17, 2009 02:23PM

Since 2 years now i have been having white vaginal discharge, no itching and the doctor said it was a yeast infection,  i kept taking ovules again and again, but the treatment was of no help.
Finally I went to a gynacologist and i was treated with antbiotics for ureaplasma.
6 months later i still had the same symptoms as well as strong bladder pain,or  pelvic pain; which would stretch out into my articulations, especially, hips, knees, and ankles.
I went to another doctor and got checked for clamydia (chlamydia) , it was positive, after ten days of antibiotics, I still have discharge, pelvic pain, joint pain, and painful intercourse.
Please let me know if you have an idea of anything that could be causing these problems, thankyou very much.

I'm sorry for this... It sounds as though your diagnosis was correct as you have been experiencing the classic symptoms of Chlamydia.

It may have been almost 3 years that you were infected and you need to talk to your doctor about PID.  Since you may have been infected for awhile you could have developed this which would be cause the pain your experiencing now.

The other thing is you mentioned intercourse... Has your partner been tested and treated; If not he needs to do so ASAP and you will need to follow up with your doctor to make sure you weren't reinfected.

I hope you feel better and make sure you continue working with your doctor.

I've heard that after taking the meds for chlamydia, it takes, for some women, a little more over 2 weeks to get all the symptoms cleared out, so just hang on  ;-)
