confused and suspicious

I have been married a short time and have a great relationship with my wife. I recently had to go on a business trip and returned home after two weeks. I got home on a Friday and we had a wonderful weekend.I noticed Saturday I was getting a horrible sore throat, on Sunday she began complaining of soreness and by Tuesday said she was having serious problems.( discharge and pain) She went to her doc and was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis. We did not have any sex after that but by Friday I was having pain when urinating and a discharge from my penis I went to my doc on Friday he took a urine sample for culture he thought it my be a UTI and gave me Cipro by Saturday I was sure I had Chlamydia so I had my doc call in the Script. I took the 1 dose on Saturday and by sunday morning my throat was better and and my penis was 75 percent better. My culture results came back negetive of anything. My wife swears she didnt cheat I want to believe her but I  am so confused can this be explained medically, and could I have some other Medical problem. Please help.

Well what was your urine sample tested for? Because if it is not tested for gonorrhea or chlamydia then it will not show up on a standard urinalysis.

I was tested for UTI, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. They all came back negetive and the doctor said to chalk it up to unknown.

Well maybe NGU which can be caused by several different bacteria. But with negative tests it is not a STD.

Thank you. I want to believe my wife is faithful, but its strange coincidence and I am struggling with it.
