i been married for 4 yrs and i know niether one of us have been unfaithful.a few weeks ago my husband had been diagnosed with chlamydia so i went to my doctor and get checked but they already treated me since my husband was positive and im still waitting for the results that they did.

my question is this what is the longest time that the virus can relay in one's body?cuz he always do the test every year because he is in the army.and i always do the pap and culture as well every year.but just with this recent test for him comes out positive with chlamydia?

can you give me an answer it will help alot thank you

I'm sorry to tell you, that the military does not automatically test for chlamydia or gonorrhea in men.  Not unless that changed in the last few years.  He would have to be requesting the testing.  Did he start to have symptoms?  Or did he find out from his "yearly" testing?  I will ask on the base where I work to be sure but I don't think it is routine for men yet...just women.  And if you were treated before testing, you may get a false result.
