ectopic pregnancy and chlamydia

I'm 26 years old and just found out I am pregnant for the first time.According to my last. Period which was aug 6, I am supposed to be 6 weeks along...I went to my first prenatal visit today and the Dr. Couldn't find the baby in the ultrasound! I was reffered to er for further testing and after a long and draining day I was told that it could be I'm less than 6 weeks or it can be ectopic which means the embryo attached itself to the fallopian tubes and that women with a history of chlamydia have higher riskks of getting this. I had chlamydia  in 2007 but got treatment about 1 month after I found out or have problems with fertility. I am very worried! I was wondering if anyone has been through anything similar..????

omg r u serious i had that while i was pg in 06 with my son and i had a miscarriage in july and trying to get pg coulld i need up in a miscarriagwe again

Stop panicking!  Chlamydia does not cause infertility.  It is the PID that results from UNTREATED chlamydia that can cause scarring in the fallopian tubes.  That is what causes the infertility.  

Once treated, the chlamydia is gone.  

The first time I had chlamydia was years before my first pregnancy.  My son is now 4 years old.

I started cramping last night before bed..nothing heavy but when I went to the bathroom I saw blood each time I wiped....this morning I don't feel anything..no cramps or spotting. I'm very confused! I'm praying that Its not a miscarriage coming on...thanks for the support! I need it
