false negative chlamydia test

I recently was diagnosed with chlamydia after my boyfriend performed oral sex on me. We also had intercourse that day with a condom that didnt break. When he was blood tested for chlamydia (amplified DNA assay) his results were negative. My positive results came after my gyn swabbed my vagina. Is it possible that my boyfriend would have to have swab of inside of his penis to show positive test results or is there some other explanation as to why his test results are negative and mine are positive?

You probably got a false positive or you have had chlamydia for 1-2 years and not known it. His blood test is basically junk as it looks for the antibodies to see if he ever had chlamydia. So with no antibodies he probably doesn't have it.

Chlamydia is not passed from him giving you oral sex.
