false negative

I talked to my Dr about the feeling of a UTI or yeast infection. I had some white non fowl smelling discharge and itching and burning when I peed. I also had pelvic pain and low back pain. I was perscrived macrobid for UTI and fluconazole for yeast. I started the medicaion on a Friday and still didnt have much relief by the following friday. I went into see my dr and we ran the whole STD testing (Which all came back negative) befor the test results came back she put me on doxicycline just incase and back pain etc went away. I am wondering if the Macrobid could have caused a false negitive result on the chlamydia or gonorrhea test!

Yes, it could.  If the results come back negative, and the doxy isn't helping, you'll need to wait at least a week, preferably 2, and re-test.
