false positive?

false positive?

I recently went in to the (low budget) school clinic to get a pap smear, this has been the first one since I delivered my daughter 7 months ago. The first thing the doctor noticed was that I had leukocytes in my urine, but she said that it was probably from my cycle that had just ended 3 days prior, as she was doing my pap she told me that I still had some light bleeding from my cycle but the sample should still be ok. She also said that my cervix was still really far back, probably from the pregnancy. when I received the results I was told that I have chlamydia. Seeing as how I have only had one partner & he has tested negative, how is this possible? is there any way the blood could have affected the testing? A few weeks earlier I treated what I believed was a yeast infection (there was some itching and discharge) the symtoms (symptoms) went away within 3 days, could those have been chlamydia symptoms? also I have recently started using an overthe counter spermicide vaginal suppository as a form of birthcontrol ( i believed that this was the cause of the yeast infection) could that have contributed?

False positives are more common when done with the pap. I would retest.
