healing time

thanks for answering this question and forgive my english, i am not a native speaker.
I am working overseas in the east. upon my last visit to China i had a protected sex with local sex worker. 4 weeks later i had anal sex with my wife and 2 days later i noticed two red area on the shaft of my penis it was itchy. i put on some antifungal and it was gone within 2 days
However, i started to have penis discharges that are mostly clear and in the morning it is white.
No pain or burning during urination and no other symptomes.
My wife told me that she had a vaginal discharge about 3 month before. (similar to my penis discharge and it lasted for about a month and gone without treatments)
Due to my work i had to fly for 10 days. I took Cipro for 3 days without any improvments.
The doc took urine samples for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea and give me Azitromicin 1gr
My questions:
1. Is it possible that i will develope Chlamydia/Gono 4-5 weeks after intercourse??
2. If it is Chlamydia how long is the healing time? when the penis discharge is going to stop?
3. is it possible to have penis discharges that are not Chlamydia or Gonorrhea
thanks again
alex

You wouldn't have just developed chlamydia or gonorrhea at 4-5 weeks, but you might have just noticed symptoms at that point.

Cipro is no longer the recommended treatment for gonorrhea, although some will still use 500 mg once for it.  What dose did you take?

When did you take the meds?  You should notice an improvement within a few days, if this is due to chlamydia.

Have you gotten your test results back from the doc yet?  If they are negative for both gonorrhea and chlamydia, you need a further work up to find out what's causing this.

Thanks for your comments, real help
I just got the results for Gono ( Negative to that) and still waiting for the Chlamydia
porbably that why the Cipro had no effect.
I am now 4 days after the Azitromicin, the dripping is a bit less in amount and more clear
The Doc suggested to wait for the final results.
In  www.aafp.org/afp/20071215/1827.html there is usfull info regarding STD.
