I have been with my partner for 7years and have been treated early on in the relationship for chlamydia. He has recently had problems with his prostate whereby he had blood in his semen. After he had undergone extensive rectal
examinations and tests over the past few months he now tells me that his consultant has told him he has prostatitis and his prostatitis is possible due to a past chlamydia infection? He tells me that his doctor informed him that chlamydia is difficult to treat once it reaches the prostate and has advised that surgery is neccessary to 'massage' the prostate? partner for 7 years and we were treated years ago, is there any chance that i could be infected after all this time? I have no symptoms and have wondered whether his story is true or whether he has been involved with someone else, is this more likely ??
