is it possible for ghonerra to reoccur?

about a month ago I got checked for std's and it came back positive for Ghonerra (sp). The doctor then gave me 4 pink pills (arthomycin) now I'm not sure how long it takes to be effective but my partner also got treated with a shot and some pills. We waited and had unprotected sex on the 7th day. Up until yesterday I was feeling fine, I used a douche and now I have been having this burning sensation. Is it possible that the infection has not cleared up and I need to be rechecked or could I be having a reaction to the douche? (which has never happened but I dont douche regularly.)

Okay first I want to make sure you meant Gono... or if you meant Chlamydia.
The treatment you had was for Chlamydia not Gono.

If you had Gono then you were not properly treated and need to see your provider for the correct treatment.

If you meant Chlamydia then you need to follow up with your health care provider to make sure you rid the infection,

This could also be other things like a yeast, BV or Trich. which you should be tested for.

Also please don't douche it is not good for you at all... it takes you normal bacteria away
