pain in right testicle

pain in right testicle

about 2 months ago i recieved unprotected oral from a prostitute (stupid of me) about 5 and a half days later after contact i was tested for stds everything came back negative about 2 days after my tests i develop a dull achey (achy) strain pain in my right testicle so i search the web an said most causes from chlamydia or gonnorhea (Gonorrhea), but i never had any symptons like painful urinating or any kind of discharge even up to this day , so i dealt with it for  week and then went to my doctor and prescibed me ciprofloxacin 500mg one a day for 7 days and seemed to work or a bit but after it was done
the pain came back so i went back to the doctors and told her its still there so she up my dose of cipro xl  1000mg one a day for 14 days its working somewhat but if it don t work i have to go for a ultrasound cause i think she thinks it might be epididymitis, now my 2 main questions are :
1. how accurate is a blood and urine test for chlamydia and gonnorhea (Gonorrhea) after 5.5 days after contact
2. is it possible to get epididymitis from oral sex

Blood test is not an effective means for testing in gonorrhea or chlamydia. It doesn't indicate if the infection is current or from past exposure. Urine testing is very accurate. Epididymitis is usually caused by untreated chlamydia or gonorrhea.  Your doctor really should have tested you for them first before treating you.  Now that you have been treated, it would be counter productive to test because you would most likely get a false result. Cipro is not the recommended treatment for chlamydia. And getting chlamydia from oral sex is not likely to happen.

Basically, your doctor needs to stop being lazy about getting you the proper testing before treating you any further.

For gonorrhea yes.  Maybe not for chlamydia. Chlamydia is conclusive after 7 days.  But once again.  Getting chlamydia orally and passing it that way is possible but extremely rare.  Once again, your doctor should perform the tests necessary to pinpoint what is causing your symptoms instead of just prescribing antibiotics for unknown infections.

About 30 days so the infection can fully clear the system.
