i was recently diagnosed with chlamydia and was treated with the powder form of zithromax, 10 days later i used my dildo and the symptoms came back i went back to my docotor and tested positive for chlamydia again. i clean my toys before and after each use. is it possible to reinfect myself with a toy or what might have gone wrong? i do not drink or smoke.

i clean them with soap, water, and peroxide, i have had them for about a year and a half. before i was diagnosed i hadnt used it in over a month and hadnt had sex with anyone after which is why im wondering how it failed or if those bacteria are resistant in some way. is it possible to reinfect myslef by fingering myself? thanks for your help

well no way getting an infection through non sexual behavior no way so u may have it from a long time and now it showed up but i recommend buying a new dildo when ur done with chlamydia

Ok let me clear up this misunderstanding. You had Chlamydia and was treated for it. The problem I see is that you retested too early. Tests may be positive up to 30 days post treatment. This is not treatment failure, but simply that the Chlamydia antigen is still present. I recommend retesting for cure 30 days after treatment. Hope this helps.
