why did my partners urinalysis for chlamydia came back neg and my pap came out positive?

I broke with my ex boyfriend in 4/2007 I had a papsmear in 11/07 and it was negative. In 12/2007 I met a guy who since then I have been having intercourse with. In 01/2008 I had intercourse with my ex for the last time and used a condom. I had oral sex with him for the last time in june. I had a papsmear 11/08 and my doc told me it came back with chalmydia. I have since then told the guy that I am with he needed to get tested. He went and got a urinalysis for chlamydia on 11/18 and his came back negetive. Was it possible that I got it from my ex boyfriend and barely showing symptoms at this moment? and why did my partners test came back negetive? I am very confused.

Do you know the name of the chlamydia test you had?  Its possible you had a false positive.

The other thing is that maybe your partner had a false negative.  If you've been treated, he should be too, just to be sure.

I'm not to sure what kind of test it was but I've already took the one dose antibiotic on 11/19 can I go and take a urinalysis just to see what it will test or is it to late since I've taken the antibiotic?

I'm sorry I gave you the wrong dates I got my recent pap smear this month and was told that I have chlamydia I just don't have my head on straight. Could I have maybe got it orally from my ex and gave it to my new guy? Could I still take a urinalysis tommorow or is it to late since I've already took the antibiotic this fri night just to make sure my test wasn't a false positive? Help

Chlamydia is rarely, if ever, passed orally.

You can try getting another test, but I wouldn't wait much longer than tomorrow.  Make sure they do a chlamydia test on it.

Ok so I'm waiting for my results of urinalysis to come back. I've just been having this really bad itch could that be a symptom? And if I did have a papsmear that tested for chlamydia ghonnarea and hpv should've been tested for as well right? Thanks

If it was an actual pap smear, then it will tell you if you have abnormal cells on your cervix.  The HPV test is a separate thing, and your doctor would have to order it.

The pap itself won't test for any std.  It simply looks for abnormal cells.  There is a new pap out that tests for chlamydia and maybe trich (can't recall offhand), but most of the time, your pap is different than std testing.  Your doctor would have had to do a separate test for gonorrhea and chlamydia.  Make sure you ask when you get the results, and its never a bad idea to get copies of all your lap work.

I have an itch and it comes and goes could it be a symptom of the clamydia (chlamydia) that has been treated? Could it possibly be a yeast infection? Or could it be because of the shaving that I always do, do you think it can be irratated?

It could be any of those things, and you need to follow up with your doctor.  It can take a full week before symptoms resolve, but its been longer than that, right?

I took the antibiotic on the 19 so its barely been a week. I'm going to talk to my doctor if I can get her to call me back. Thanks
