Is eating a completely vegetarian diet for one with high cholesterol a good idea?

Red meats raise cholesterol and so do fats, vegetables do not

It's always a good idea to consult your doctor on dietary changes, but a vegetarian diet would help, depending on what you choose.  If you have other issues, such as high blood pressure and need to watch your sodium- you want to watch things like tofu, and vegetarian cheese options- I've found those to be pretty high in other things that aren't great for your heart health.
