cholesterol up to 9.9

i have hasimoto disease, recently had a hypo episode & sent my cholesterol levels up from usual 4.8 or 6 to 9.9!!!

will it go back down when i am more stable with the hypothroidism?

also will the raised cholesterol have done damage to my arteries?

thks`

Yes, your cholesterol will most likely stabilize again when your thyroid calms down as it controls your metabolism which influences your cholesterol profile. Temporary increases in cholesterol should not have any long term effects on your arteries as long as it is normally controlled.

Hope this helps,

Jon
