Abnormal Immunoglobulins and Lymphoccytes

I feel ill with constant muscle aching, especially in my legs.  I cannot stand or walk too long because the pain in my legs (a burning heavy tightness) gets worse and builds up until my legs feel like they will explode.  I also have swelling and pitting edema in my calves and ankles, (It gets worse when I stand or walk short distances periodically throughout the day.)

The skin on my legs feels cold, and the hair has stopped growing on both legs, also.
All my life, I have had exhaustion and felt tired.  But never like now.  I have had enlarged lymph nodes in my neck since childhood.  There is one large lymph node on each side of my neck, and they feel hard and rubbery.   I never had trouble with my legs until 2001.

Things in my Past History:  I had a rash on my legs in 1991. (I think it might have been a tick bite). I picked up a dead crow in 2001, when there was an outbreak of West Nile virus in my neighborhood, and they sprayed at night.  I was exposed to severe flea bites and cat feces in 2006.  I had Rheumatic Fever as a child. Could any of this be the cause of my current symptoms?

No doctor has given me a diagnosis in years.  They tell me I am getting older (female, age 60).
But last month I got 2 conflicting diagnoses!
Rheumatologist said: Venous insufficiency
Physical therapist said: Lymphedema

My PCP will not follow up and find which diagnosis is correct.  He will not order a Doppler Study.

I went to an immunologist because I have circulating immune complexes in my blood, and have abnormal tests.  Can anyone tell me what they signify? My immunologist told me they were normal and to come back in a year!  This is not an answer.  I feel ill all the time with leg muscle pain and trouble walking.

My CBC was normal, except my Lymphocytes were a little low.
The only other immunoglobulin and lymphocytes that were abnormal are listed below.

Immunoglobulins:
IgG1=455 (Low).  Normal Range: 456-1110 mg/dL
IgG4=170 (High).  Normal Range:  11-112 mg/dL

Lymphocytes:
T-Cells:  CD3/CD8 Absolute Count=178 (Low).  Normal Range:  394-1150cell/cu mm
T-Cells:  CD4/Cd8 Ratio=5.3 (High).  Normal Range: 0.9-2.1

Chest X-ray:
My chest x-ray showed a small hiatal hernia, (I have had acid reflux for years and chest pressure when I lie down, so I use a wedge shaped pillow), and scoliosis (to the left), but my doctor said the x-ray was normal.  He does not know I saw the results on My Chart.

Are these tests just a small part of a bigger picture?  Do I need other tests?  Is there more than one thing wrong with me?

No doctor will tell me why I feel so sick.  Or why my legs hurt.  What is wrong with me?

Hello,
Leg pain that show up during physical activity, such as walking, are usually a sign of arterial insufficiency(peripheral artery disease). That means the arteries aren't able to supply the calf muscles with enough blood and oxygen to meet their needs. This usually arises from atherosclerosis—hardening of the arteries. Atherosclerosis can occur for many reasons such as smoking, diabetes, and high cholesterol

The pain from PAD is brought on by exercise, and relieved by rest.
I strongly advise you an evaluation by a physician.

Hello,
The most common local conditions that cause edema are varicose veins and thrombophlebitis (inflammation of the veins) of the deep veins of the legs. These conditions can cause inadequate pumping of the blood by the veins (venous insufficiency). You need to get your cardiac status also checked as mentioned earlier.
You should indulge in moderate exercises like walking, avoid prolonged standing and avoid sitting with the feet dependent.Decrease salt intake and drink plenty of water.

Have you ever considered a magnesium deficiency? I also have a friend who was diagnosed with lyme disease, after several negative tests - magnesium is just one of the things that has helped him tremendously.  It also helped me with my issues of restless legs and muscle pains, headaches, and sleep that was not restful.  I use the ionic liquid magnesium from Angstrom Minerals and it can be ordered from healthshop101.com/magnesium.html - it literally changed my life! I have done a lot of reading and it seems most people are deficient in magnesium and it is kind of the miracle mineral... many have found that even using maintenance amounts have reduced or reversed many of the symptoms they experience cause from other issues. So glad I started using it and I feel like a new woman because of it!

Thank you so much...I had a new doctor visit yesterday and she said I could have venous insufficiency...and also said I have pitting edema.

Does venous insufficiency cause pitting edema?  My legs hurt SO much when I walk, and they swell up and do have pitting in my calves and ankles...

My immunologist said my CD8 was low, and said it occurs in a variety of conditions...but he did not tell me what they were...how can I find out?

Also what causes high IgG4?
