Chronic Fatigue - Precursor to Fibro?

Hi. I'm was diagnosed with Chronic fatigue last year, after a bout of mono that went untreated. I experience pain in my extremities almost all the time, along with numbness in my face hands and feet. I was wondering if this could be a precursor for fibromyalgia? It runs in my family, and is very common for people with post-traumatic stress disorder, which I was diagnosed with three years ago. Any ideas? Reccomendations?

This sounds just like me! I had mono last year that never got treated (I actually only found out a few weeks ago I had it due to bloodwork I got done because I was having reoccuring symptoms) but I havent been diagnosed with CFS or Fibro yet but my mom and aunt both have Fibro it just didnt hit them as young as I am ( i'm going on 22). But I definitely hear you on the pain and feeling like you are 80, that how I have felt the past couple months. Just no energy, body aches difficulty sleeping feeling like I havent slept even when I have, its just awful. Have you been to a rheumatologist recently? I go on the 29th and will hopefully get an idea of whats going on. Keep me posted!

You know, no one has commented on this so I thought I would. I think its defenitely possible. Fibro has been linked to Mono as well as chronic fatigue. Perhaps after having chronic fatigue for so long and still stressing our bodies out, we age. I mean havent you noticed having either of these makes you feel like you are 80 freaking years old. We stress our bodies beyond beliefe, maybe we are agining on the inside quicker. I sound like my did in his 70's now, LOL. You never know whats going on but someday someone will figure it out.
