Darbie Update

All is very good here. It's been such a brutal winter overall and I can't say how much I have missed you all! Darbie had blood work 1/29. Her CREA went down from 5.5 to 5.3 and her BUN went up slightly from 58 to 61. Dr. Vet was very encouraged as she focused on the CREA #. Darbie is sprite and wonderful. She is managing DEEP SNOW like an Iditarod Husky. ( her track is on the side of our yard....). She still thinks snow is a great gift from the heavens and I do my best to deter her from shoveling it into her mouth.....

TONY, I can't wait to get back to the board and help others. I wanted you to know that Darbie has been eating raw pieces of high quality steak in small quantities since January ( I used to pan sear ). There has been no issue with digestion, she remains strong in body/spirit, and her CREA did go down! She remains on daily IV fluids, supplements and KD food.

CHARLENE, I always think of you, wishing you happiness with pups:) Can't wait to catch up with you. I am sure you are being hammered this winter!!

Our love to All!

Lynne and Darbie:)

Hi Lynne and Darbie:

Think of you daily and continue to pray for Darbie to remain strong!!!  Love to hear she's doing well......hope that is still true.  Can't believe it almost 7 months since  Sammie left us.  I still cry and miss her terribly.  Although as I type this with tears for Sammie, our newest member of the family, Natasha, jumped in my lap and starting licking away my tears.  She brings us lots of laughs and smiles.  Looking forward to this awful winter and lousy start of Spring to end.  Want to walk my girls!!

Hope you are well.  Miss talking with you.

Fondly,
Charlene, Bonnie, and Natasha

Lynne

You are as much a part of this "forum" as I am and just as valuable to everyone here. You have done wonders with Darbie and the knowledge and experience you have acquired is being shared with desperate owners who wander here looking for help. I feel privileged to know you - and thankful your charitable spirit continues here to support others.

Hiya Lynne. It's been one of those days today ... yours the second good news story I have seen. I'm delighted Darbie is doing so well and remains contented, happy and strong. The blood results are better than expected, so you are doing everything absolutely right. I'm delighted with this news. Thanks for posting. Tony x
