Help!

Mellie has been taking Aluminum Hydroxide (10 ml) with food each meal, but today she had violent diarrhea and vomited last night's steak. She doesn't have long - I finally coaxed her to eat some boiled chicken and drink at 10 pm - but I am afraid to give any of these meds - she feels so bad. I gave her Cerenia. No more vomitting/diarrhea today, but there nothing inside her...

I'm wondering about dosages. What dose has your vet prescribed - and what is in the dosage per 10ml? 10ml doesn't really help, as that 10ml could contain 100mg, 300mg or more of aluminium hydroxide. And what is your dog's weight? Tony

Also, talk to your vet about prescribing a drug called Mirtzapine. This is very useful for anti-nausea in kd dogs. It's rare for dogs on it to get side effects. It’s also an anti-depressant in addition to anti-anxiety, and also helps with nausea and is an appetite stimulant. This drug can help in several ways, as seen, so worth following up. Tony
