Hantavirus

Abouyt month ago I was exposed to some mice droppings, cleaning tool shed. I liove in the city, but still there was mice. Week later I started to have hoarse voice, swollen glands in my neck, pressure in the neck, chills and night sweats. Diocoir listened to my lungs and heard wheezing on exhale, so he gave me Biaxin, which I couldn't take, because I am alergic to it. So he changed it to Amoxil 250. I finished the antibiotics and I feel worst, now I have trouble breathing in as well, it take three breaths to clear the lungs. My doctor is on vacation, my question is could this be Hantavirus? Should I go and ask to be seen by specialist?

Definitely this could be Hantavirus.  Given the rapid progression of this disease to involve lungs and kidneys, you should see an internist or, better yet, an infectious disease specialist, without delay.  Unfortunately there is no medicine for the treatment of Hantavirus, but good supportive care, which includes intravenous (IV) fluids, enable even those severely ill, to survive this infection.

There are a number of other diseases, associated with exposure to mice that the doctor will need to take into consideration.
