PE 6 months ago now smoking again

I was in the hospital for 4 weeks on Hem and then warfarin.  I have not smoked or taken birth control for almost a year since the life event with a pulmonary emb in my lungs and liver which happened last June.  Two weeks ago I started to smoke again and I have noticed certain changes... more headaces, vomiting, constipation, depression at times, sudden euphoria and etc.  What can or will happen to me if I continue to smoke?  Please be honest.  thank you for your time in answering this question.

Regards,

Tina

i think you already know the answer to that, you are already getting symptoms
of your body being poisoned with tobaco again, your body had started to change for the better from not smoking, so you will just undo the progress you made from cessation of smoking, so if i was you unless you want to kill yourself, is dump the ciggarettes NOW
THEY JUST POISON YOUR BODY from a ex long term smoker, who will never go back to smoking,  why on earth did you start again after tha length of time.

The symptoms you are experiencing are most likely, not caused by your resuming smoking.  It is more likely that your headaches, GI symptoms and emotional lability have yet another cause and that the stress from the combination of symptoms has led you to resume smoking.  That is, something other than smoking is causing your symptoms and, for that, you may have to see your doctor.

Please be aware that smoking is an independent risk factor for deep vein clot formation and pulmonary emboli and that another risk factor is a history of venous clots and pulmonary emboli.  Continuing to smoke will increase your risk of recurrence of this life-threatening disease and your risk for lung cancer, emphysema and coronary artery disease.  You have proven that you can quit.  You are capable of quitting and should work with your doctor to quit again, for good.

Good luck.
