Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your brother. Yes, the drugs can have serious side effects, but then all drugs can have. Usually most medications prescribed by doctors are safe for human use and usually do not cause serious side effects. Apart from the treatment, your mother needs to drink plenty of fluids such as water, warm lemonade, clear soups etc. She needs to do deep breathing exercises and eat healthy. Walking will also help loosen the cough and if she is not strong enough, then maybe she can do just deep breathing exercises. Call the doctor’s office and find out if steam will help. Is she does not improve, take her back to the doctor. Take care!

Thank you for your advice..
in fact she went to the doctor.. and a chronic bronchitis was diagnosed..
she is on medications which got a lot of scaring side effects. These are the: tres-oris Forte, Montair Cipla, Celeatene and many others..
as i read the side effects, i think i understood that it can lead to many other problems like high blood pressure, nightmares or even gastro intestinal bleeding (celestene). Yesterday she began her medication and she was highly agitated during her sleep and todat since the morning she's feeling weak..
i just lost my brother 3months ago and im very much scared for mum!!! How can i overcome to these side effects?? Should i look for other medications?
Hi!
Stress cannot cause bronchitis. However, stress can aggravate existing bronchitis and asthma. Chemicals released during stress can cause narrowing of airways. The secretions get trapped in the lungs and this worsens the cough. Hope this helps. Take care!
