Can Tretonoin reverse Emphysema?

I have heard that there is a drug called Tretinoin that can reverse the effects of Emphysema, that there have been trials etc to prove it.
My Mum has just been diagnosed with Emphysema at 49 years old. She has trouble breathing and sleeps nearly all the time, permanently tired. She means the world to me and would like to help her as much as I can.

I am afraid that to the best of my knowledge that there is no known drug to reverse the effects of emphysema , I wish there were as I was diagnosed with it just over 2 weeks ago and im only 42
