Chronic Fibro Cystic & Bronchiectatic Lung Disease

by helen397, Aug 20, 2009 05:04AM
Dear Dr.
I was wondering if you can help me.
I was recently in hospital with back and chest pain. I have been a chronic asthmatic for 32 years and was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis 9 years ago in the lower left lobe of my lung.
While in hospital I had a CT scan conclusion:- Chronic Fibro Cystic and Bronchiectatic Lung Disease
The doctors have now said what I have is now incurable, inoperable and it has spread all over both of my lungs but what does chronic fibro cystic mean as when I research the net it mentions lumps in my breast??
I am 34 years old and would like to start a family but I am worried that I may not see my children growing up or I am infertile due to the amount of steriods and other meds I have taken over the years.
Thank you for your help.
Regards
Helen397
