Difficult Breath

by milca, Nov 05, 2008 09:29AM
Hello

My husband is experiencing some difficulties to breath these last days. He has quite smoking these last times and recently, while he was working, he stopped breathing. Even when he is asleep now, i have noticed that he had a loud breathe and that he was snoring. He told me also that he used to do asthma when he was a little child. Can it be dangerous or is it only linked to the fact he stopped smoking?

Hi there!

It sounds like your husband may be likely to have sleep apnea. You can find out more about this dangerous disorder at the following very informative and supportive website:

http://www.sleepapnea.org/info/index.html

It also sounds like he may be suffering from some tar build up in his lungs from those years of smoking and needs respiratory relief for that. You can find out more about a very gentle and natural approach using the ancient but awesome practice of halotherapy, or salt therapy with an all organic, salt pipe respiratory inhaler at:

http://www.saltrocks.org

Our daughter has greatly benefited from this salt therapy approach... She has acute asthma, worsened by hayfever & we have found the salt pipe to be the most effective alternative to control her asthma. It is a gentle, drug-free approach that works & also helps to strengthen the lungs over time as opposed to shocking them into functioning properly.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like some level of copd and sleep apnea.  I have both.  I would recommend he see a pulmonolgy specialist that can diagnose and get your husband set up for a sleep study.  Both diseases, left untreated can be very dangerous and even life threatening.
