Difficulty Breathing & Swallowing& sticky dry Phlem in lungs

hello everyone,
i am a 30 yrs old male,have been workin out for years... but used to smoke.. until recently.. been a month have stopped smoking cause of this problem...around 3 months back... one fine day i had cold... severe cold.. had running nose nd cough.. nd sour throat...  nd pain in the upper part of my back.. went to the doctor was under treatment.. but it became more severe... started having difficulty breathing nd swallowing... had blocked nose...nd very very dry sticky phlegm in the lungs... nd back pain in the upper part of the back... went to another doctor... this time the doctor told it was acute bronchitis... was prescribed Cetralon cetirizine hydrochloride pills nd nebulizer daily thrice and a injection daily.. forgot the name of the injection... this treatment was for a duration of 7 days... felt better for 2 days then the problem  started again.. this time went to another doctor... who took my x-ray nd blood test.. both the results were normal.. the doctor told me to take Aerius Desloratadine 5Mg pills,Avalox Moxifloxacin 400mg & Relaxon pills for 10 days...took the pills for 10 days but no difference...the problem was still the same... then went to a heart specialist...he told to do ecg test,stress test...i did the test nd the results came normal... then he told me to do some lungs test PFT test.. to see the strength of my lungs... this test also came normal... then was told to do MRI CT scan... of neck nd back... this too came normal... then was told to do some test where they gave me a pink liquid to drink... nd then they monitored the flow of the liquid down my throat till it reaches the stomach... forgot the name of this test too.. but this test too came normal... all the test were normal... then end of the day... the doctor tells me its nothing but just a panic attack.. nd its all in my mind...i need to see a psychiatrist for advice...i have lost all hope.. in doctors. I yet have these problems.. i yet have problem swallowin food and breathing.. nd have dry sticky phlegm in my lungs... which make it difficult to breath... so have started takin Cipla Aerocort puffs for breathing problem.. it helps. but not 100%...i use it only when my breathing becomes very very critical... pls someone help if u can... have tried takin  ginger juice.. with honey pepper...tried everything.. pls help.. cant live a normal life for the past 3 months til date... feell like some sudden curse has struck me.. cant exercise... cant eat... cant walk long distances...coz of breathing problem... feell dizzy at times due to lack of oxygen... but one thing i have noticed... which i am very curious abt.. its that... the whole day i suffer from this problem.. but once i sleep nd give my body rest... the problem subsides... i do not have breathing problem while sleeping... which is a surprise till date.. i really dont know whats wrong with me... the doctors too dont ahve a clue as to whats wrong with me...due to this problem lots of negative thoughts run my mind... if anyone been through this phase thats i am going through, or if anyone knows whats wrong with me, PLS HELP... PLS FRIENDS... GOD BLESS ALL!

Hi, so sorry that you are going through such a rough time.  I will tell you what my doctor told me.  The excess mucus is a clear indication that it is NOT in your head.  You have a reall medical problem that needs affective treatment.

That being said, has anyone treated you for acid reflux.  Laryngeal-pharyngeal reflux can cause all your respiratory symptoms but would not cause the typical symptoms of heart burn or damage to the esopagus that would be picked up in your "pink liquid" test, probably a barium swallow.  You could try taking some acid reflux meds like omeprazole and/or ranitidine.  Also, life style changes for acid reflux my prove very helpful.
