Had normal chest x-rays in Sept (besides copd). Had a cold so Dr ordered another last week. THIS one says "new rt infrahilar area of consolidation or developing mass measuring 4.0x3.0CM. How is this possible in just a month? Suggestions on what to do? They suggest a Cat scan. Thank you.

Do not mess with this. Do the catscan. It is better to know than not to know. There may be things they can do and then again it could be a bad xray. Good luck and God bless you.
